2.0 Anniversary Update (2.0.0) Patch Notes

The 2.0 Anniversary Update celebrates the 2-year anniversary of Company of Heroes 3 with several new additions to the game, including four new Battlegroups in the Fire & Steel DLC. This update also features the return of some fan-favorite maps from CoH1 and CoH2, improvements to the Italian Campaign, multiplayer balance changes, and much more.

Best freaking update ever it's insane xD
Keep at it!! Relic at its best, and I'm talking about both the DLC & this insane overhaul patch :3

And make those ability Calls louder, Jericho, Fatherland & V1 definitely need a meg boost for hype & clarity xP

Please start selling battlegroups individually: $5 or 35,000 in-game currency each, as most fans have already bought the DLC. Upgrade existing battlegroups with fresh mechanics and introduce new units: for US Forces, the M36 Jackson, a beastly tank destroyer with a 90mm gun; for DAK, the P26/40 and Sd.Kfz. 234/2 Puma for versatile maneuvers. This would deepen tactics and historical flavor, especially with weather and time-of-day shifts making the game insanely immersive!

Upgrading Existing Battlegroups

  • US Heavy Weapons Battlegroup: Add deployable mortar pits with smoke barrages for tactical cover.

  • Wehrmacht Battlegroups: Include field repair squads to fix vehicles mid-fight.

  • British Battlegroups: Upgrade to mobile command posts that boost nearby unit morale.

  • DAK Battlegroups: Add ambush bonuses when units attack from fog or dusk.

New Units for All Factions

  • US Forces: M36 Jackson – 90mm gun to shred heavy tanks with precision.

  • Wehrmacht: Wirbelwind – Flak 38 quad 20mm, a nightmare for infantry and planes.

  • British Forces: Archer – Reverse-mounted 17-pounder, perfect for hit-and-run.

  • DAK: P26/40 – Italian medium tank + Sd.Kfz. 234/2 Puma – agile scout with bite.

New Gameplay Features campaign coh 3!!!! future !!!!!! 

  • Dynamic Weather Impact: Rain slows vehicles, fog reduces visibility, snow buffs winter camo units.

  • Night Raids: Reduced detection range, but flares and searchlights become key tools.

  • Civilian Interaction: Rescue villagers for resource boosts or intel on enemy positions.

New Achievements

  • "Ghost in the Fog": Win a match in dense fog without losing a unit.

  • "Thunder Hubris": Destroy 10 enemy tanks with the M36 Jackson in one game.

  • "Desert Fox": Use the Puma to capture 5 points undetected at night.

  • "Rain of Steel": Call in an airstrike during a storm to wipe out an enemy base.

  • "Dawn Breaker": Turn the tide of a losing battle at sunrise.

My Thoughts

This mix of upgrades, new units, and features like weather and achievements would take CoH3 to the next level. The M36 Jackson brings raw power, the Wirbelwind adds anti-infantry flair, and the Archer’s quirky design fits British eccentricity. For DAK, the P26/40 and Puma combo screams mobility. Throw in random events like sandstorms or partisan uprisings, and you’ve got a living battlefield. What do you think—any other wild ideas to toss in?

I like the 2.0 update but PLEASE do something with the KING TING it is not 50% of what it used to be in COH games!

Please enhance the expert AI in the next update. The computer in the game is too dumb and weak. Allow the computer to summon heavy armor such as Tiger King and Tiger in the battle group, and build artillery positions, machine gun bunkers, etc. This will increase the difficulty and playability of cooperating with AI

All the stuff you listed already has an equivalent on the game, M36 Jackson - M18 Hellcat for example. But the night/day map option would be awesome in some maps and snow is also missing from the roster. I believe fog/rain would be just to difficult to make on a game that already launched. I think that right now the ability to apply cosmetics to all vehicles should be next and also the cosmetics applied to the Main Base Building shown extend to the all other buildings like the bunker.
