Balance review after 1.7.0 patch for faction and maps.

1vs1 high elo:

--> allies favored

--> Semois most hated map

1vs1 low elo:

--> kind of balanced, just wehrmacht is weaker

--> all maps seem fine


2vs2 high elo:

--> allies favored

--> Aere Perennius most hated map


2vs2 low elo:

--> axis favored

--> all maps seem fine


3vs3 high elo:

--> axis favoured

--> Monthereme most hated map

3vs3 low elo:

--> kind of balanced but small axis favoured

--> all maps seem fine


4vs4 high elo:

--> kind of balanced, but USA is most weak, and axis small favoured

--> (Mappool got manuell changed because of new map)


4vs4 low elo:

--> kind of balanced but wehrmacht weaker

--> Mappool got manuell changed because of new map) 




If you collect all elo together the game seems balanced.

Not sure I agree with 3v3 and 4v4 high elo. A lot of games at 1600+ for 3v3 and 4v4 are going to be premades. Balance for looks much worst at 1400-1599.

Full agree!
3vs3 and 4vs4 axis favoured! In 2vs2 its more for allies also 1vs1 is allies favoured (big USA one)



Almost all people on highelo are premate only. That is the sad thing in coh3, there is no AT - Ranks and randoms ranks.

so i wonder what is the conclusion according to that data?

Balancing highly depends on elo and gamemode. so for which playergroup do you wanna make the balance?

high elo players, cause otherwise you get unbalanced tournaments?

low-elo players, cause they are the biggest player group?

for 1vs1 or 4vs4, which are the  most played gamemodes?

or you treat all players the same, no matter what.

I call totally BS on that!

If you check right now for 4vs4 mid Elo, Wehrmacht is hugely underperforming (~45%). And I’d say it is not only the perma lack of balance, but also just terrible tectree design Wher has. Compared to other factions that require way less skill to play. Wehrmacht should be reworked entirely. Wehrmacht buildings & units are just fail designed. They are weak, expensive and they lack in utilities (meaning abilities & upgrades). They’re also way too repetitive.

For example: (except Jäger as an "early" AT), they have Pak40,Stug,Mader,LG40 and even the AT upgrade for the 221 Scout car... EVERYTHING just front faced & super immobile...

While the enemy has Greyhounds and Stuarts, which have a 360° turret, to roam like crazy...
They should have added a Puma or something similar, to balance things our.

Also the poor map design in coh3 is so huge and open, that makes it so easy to a flank these stationary ATs. And the units walk sooo sloow coming back from the base taking ages (compared to coh2!).

I was a Wehrmacht main in coh2 with 5500k-6000k hours. But Wehrmacht in Coh3 is just a Meme, and perma underperforming.
Sometimes I wonder, if Relic plays their own game !?

 


Immagine to wait until probably end of September, to address this... makes me feel very sick.
