I wrote about this a few months ago and for some reason didn't seem to go anywhere despite many people agreeing with me on it.


Problem

The damage done to aircraft is hugely skewed in the current patch 1.9.3 as of today. Some AA units are so effective, they can take out call in abilities before they have even completed the ability. Others are so weak they fail to destroy aircraft loiters in a respectable time. As many as 3 AA units in the case for the Brits.


Example

US player picks the (already weaker) option of the plane tech building.

He uses the bomb strike mid map

Usually a Flack HT (if not already in combat) will often blow up the plane before the call in bomb strike has completed. This is worse in 2v2 and upwards.

The US player recognises that this is a waste of Muni and never clicks the Plane building tech again. Probably clicks the infantry support tech instead.


This kind of leans against the Allies and both the US AA HT is just OK as a unit. The Brit AA is very underused and not as lethal or effective as the Alix versions (not sure why) and often never picked.


Solution

Please standardise the damage to planes and the health. For example:


Any loiter has X health, call in plane has X (+ a bit more health).

'ALL AA UNITS DAMAGE IS STANDARDISED TO DEAL X DAMAGE IN X SECONDS' to a plane for example. 


Summary

Each faction has the same equal chance to try and avert the loiter or call in. The call in abilities should prbally have slightly more health due to using skill or micro to use, the loiters less so, due to just being an AFK 1 click thing.
