[MAP CONTEST] Itter Fields Feedback Thread

This thread is for all feedback related to the map "Itter Fields" as part of Relic's 2v2 Map Making Contest. This map has made by a member of the community and they would LOVE of your feedback to help them iterate on and improve their map before the next submission deadline of the contest.

    1. Good feel and atmosphere.
    2. Some very cool visuals like the destroyed house on north point.
    3. Lots of flanking options.

    1. Needs mini map and OOB area work. Contact one of the other mappers for help if needed. Pretty easy stuff to do once you have done it once.
    2. There are some weird RED cover areas for no reason. Like one of the points is all RED cover?
    3. Points are all in mid of map. No reason to push past the middle of the map. And if you get pushed out of the middle, you lose almost all resources gg.

    1. Some points have objects just outside that pull INF from taking points.
    2. Is the front Munition point a cutoff?
    3. Some objects could be moved that cause pathing issues like wood stacks and brick stacks that are spaced apart a little too much. this makes light vehicles drive in circles trying to get thru the area.
    4. Some of the roads have RED cover and some dont. Looks like a spline or something is making random RED cover areas on the map. Check in worldbuilder for cover.

    7/10 - This map has a lot of potential. A little TLC and this could be very playable. I would like to see this map after the 2nd round of updates. There are four maps that have this general open layout that will probably all play well: Itter Fields, Fields of Winnekendonk, Elsenborn, and Poltawa.

    Congratulations! This map has passed Round 3 and is approved for the final iteration in Round 4.

    The updated map has been added to the 2v2 Map Making Contest Collection

    We encourage the community to give as much feedback as possible heading into this crucial final iteration period.

    RELIC FEEDBACK - Please seek additional feedback and validation from the community.

    The creator has done a good job of balancing various gameplay elements for this map

    Due to the centralized style of the VP's indirect fire weapons will have a lot of coverage. This may not be ideal for competitive play.

    We noticed some glitching/ not destructibility when driving a tank through the stone wall outside the house near the southern victory point.

    All of the VP's have negative cover inside the capping circle. If this is an intentional design decision it is well worth validating with the community to see how this is received. There is no visual difference in terrain inside and outside the capping circle.
