hi , the M21 is a doctrine only unit and its a M3 half track but with a 81 mm mortar
280MP 40F 6POP 2CP

  • offensive side
the auto shooting mortar got really bad AOE which its kind of un effective and low ROF

  • defensive side

  • great speed
  • low HP and armor

  • abilities

  • HE barrage: the HE barrage which available with every mortar but as for the M21 halftrack it got a really bad accuracy and really bad AOE

  • white phosphorous barrage: the white phosphorous barrage costs 25 ammunation and shots harmful rounds but not deadly which it doesn't kills and got small AOE, the ability costs a price .

  • M24 heavy HE fuse charge barrage: it unlocks at level 1 with 25 ammunition , it shots a heavy HE rounds at same range but takes time to explode about 2-3 seconds not sure about it , it does not do really good damage against all targets as its written good against vehicles but i dont do enough damage to be good vs vehicles and vehicles can easily move with its long fuse barrage time

comparison
there is only 2 mortar half track units in game the M21 mortar halftrack and the SDFKZ 250/7 which the SDFKZ got 4 abilites and 3 of them for free and got great accuracy and even great AOE effect and even got a flame barrage for 40 ammunition which the SDFKZ 250/7 perform much more than M21

what i see should be fixed

  • offensive side: increase AOE and accuracy and a bit of AOE which make its align with other mortar halftracks

.* abilities:

  • HE barrage increase its AOE , decrease scatter .
  • white phosphorous: increase ROF and makes the WP deadly as comet one WP shot
  • M24 heavy HE round: increase AOE and decrease fuse to 1 second or 0.5 second and increase bit of damage against infantry and increase more damage against tank like how PTRS do more damage vs vehicles than infantry

and thank you ^^

Just increase the ROF is fine. It definitely shoots too slow when compare to OST MHT. It takes year to land down a shell.

The heavy rounds are actually incredibly powerful when they hit, however their scatter is hilariously bad...
All in all I think all the unit needs is a better RoF OR the ability to garrison units (at the cost of firing the mortar) to add utility and flavor. But its a little...Meh atm

The delayed fuse rounds are like pre-nerf 120mm mortar rounds. They're quite deadly.

    Give it some RoF

its amazing because normal barrage is useless which heavy one replace it
while even 24 heavy rounds takes time to explode which makes it easy to avoid

The delayed fuse barrage is an anti hard target barrage. It has 1.000 penetration and unless it get a new role it is fine.

    M21 is fine also...

M21 is really bad compared to SDFKZ/7 mortar half track
and M24 takes time to explode

M21 doe snot have to face the target to fire and that helps allot with firing. It doe snot compare that bad with weh MHT as you thing.

M24 can cause engine damage to vehicles and has very high penetration. Try using it against against building and you will see is not that bad. Redesigning the ability is a different story.

The only real problem with it is that there is little point in getting a m21 (or even using the doctrine) since the 81mm mortar is a far more cost efficient option (and it will continue to be if the 81mm mortar is not nerfed or the M21 becomes broken)

well the M24 ability costs 25 ammunition and other army tanks got enough time to move and MGs got enough time to move from buildings and it got a really high scatter , while it should get a low scatter as its a heavy and M21 normal barrage is useless and bad
