Fire and Steel DLC - Wishlist Now

Company of Heroes 3: Fire & Steel is a Battlegroup DLC pack consisting of four Battlegroups for Multiplayer and Co-Op/Skirmish vs AI. That means each faction in the game will receive a new Battlegroup! These supplemental forces consist of powerful units and abilities to enhance your forces and employ new tactics and strategy.

These Battlegroups may well be our most exciting post-launch content to date. Firstly, each battlegroup contains one super-heavy tank, each of which are franchise classics, and have been highly requested by the CoH3 community. The M26 Pershing, Churchill Crocodile, King Tiger, and Elefant Tank Destroyer are all making their return.

Not only that, but each battlegroup will bring a number of exciting units, and abilities. Some of these will introduce new mechanics and fresh gameplay loops to the franchise, while others will be iconic series favorites.

  • US Forces – Heavy Weapons Battlegroup: Superior team weapons and halftracks control the battlefield before heavy armor arrives to finish the fight.
  • Wehrmacht – Terror Battlegroup: Shatter the enemy’s willpower with airstrikes, suppression and superior infantry tactics. Devastating heavy weapons will destroy anything that remains standing.
  • British Forces – Canadian Shock Battlegroup: Seize territory to gain unparalleled momentum on the battlefield, and deploy powerful incendiary weapons to displace any who dare deny your movement.
  • Deutsches Afrikakorps – Panzerjäger Kommand Battlegroup: Cripple the enemy’s advance with defensive obstacles, enabling powerful anti-armor weapons to make the killing blow.

The Fire & Steel DLC pack will release in late February 2025 and will be priced at US $24.99.

We will continue to dive deeper on the contents of each Battlegroup over the rest of the month, so perform regular recon on our social channels to stay up to date with the latest intel.

Here's a question: Will it be useable in the Campaign? If so will it be for both American and UK?

Too expensive for warbands! New factions for such a price would be more justified. This is similar to fraudulent withdrawal of money. I suggest making these battlegroups available for in-game currency, around 30,000 coins, and adding them to the store for anyone who wants them. Please review pricing and availability

V-1 flying bomb what was that EXPLOSION?!!! She should shake this screen! where are the Р26\40 tanks?????!!!!

This battle group is really cool. but. It's a battle group that came out after a year. It's too expensive!

I have been playing the game consistently to purchase DLC with points. Please let me purchase it with in-game points!

Considering that 25,-€ is quite pricey for just "Battlegroups", what about those, who only play one side or even only one faction??

Me personally, I only play the axis side... So you force me to pay 25€ for 2 Allied battlegroups I most likely will never play.

Please let us buy them individually, preferably with in-game currency.

great work on the battle groups.  all Battlegroups in the game are 10,000 merit.  Will Relic be consistent with these battle groups?

We work as passionately as you do to improve the game and reach more players, and you think $25 is the price you think is appropriate for us? I don't know how much more disgusting you can be. Shame on you after all we've done for the game you fu*k*d up.

I had to look up Black Dragon as it sounded suspect and I wasn't sure it was a real thing, but it apparently is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/240_mm_howitzer_M1

Sounds very cool, actually. Thematically these all sound good and it'll be interesting to see them in action, but yeah this is certainly sounding overpriced. I've wishlisted it for a sale but I'm not spending £25 or whatever it is on these. We'll see what Steam's conversion rate ends up being.

How can you expect this game to even exist without paid dlcs and rather small player base?

25e for months of work and efforts from the dev team is good and you should treat it as a way to support them.

Otherwise, with no "stable" income the game will be gone.

25e isn't much.

Subject: Suggestion Regarding Battle Group DLC Pricing Model

Dear Relic Entertainment Team,

As a dedicated Company of Heroes veteran with thousands of hours invested primarily in Axis factions (Wehrmacht, West/Ostheer, and Afrikakorps), I'm writing to express my enthusiasm for your recent work while providing constructive feedback about the new Battle Group DLC.

First, please accept my heartfelt congratulations on your studio's independence and remarkable revitalization of the franchise. Though I struggled with the initial language barrier as a Chinese player since childhood (watching my father play the original COH through to mastering COH2 in high school), your games have consistently dominated my Steamannual review  year after year.

While I'm excited about the new DLC's quality and willing to support its $25 price point, I'd like to respectfully propose considering an à la carte purchasing option. As a specialist player focused on German armored divisions (particularly the King Tiger unit), the current bundle model requiring purchase of all four Battle Groups creates an accessibility barrier for faction-specific enthusiasts like myself.

Might your team consider implementing a dual pricing structure? For example:

  • Individual Battle Groups at 6.99−6.99−7.99 each

  • Complete bundle with 10-15% discount at $25

This approach would accommodate both completionists and faction specialists while maintaining revenue objectives. Personally, I would immediately purchase the Wehrmacht Battle Group while potentially exploring others later during sales.

Please understand this suggestion comes from a place of passion - my fascination with German WWII armor design (from Panthers to the Elefant's mechanics) drives my gameplay preferences. I fully respect the artistic and commercial considerations behind your current model.

Thank you for your continuous efforts in perfecting this masterpiece. Wishing you continued success in both critical acclaim and commercial achievement. As we say in China: "精诚所至,金石为开" - Where sincere dedication prevails, even metal and stone may yield.

Looking forward to future updates,
A Loyal COH Commander from China
