Espionnage suffers from static syndrome imo, with too many elements gearing towards planting & waiting.
I'd really love it if the ambush/syphon system got a rework in the following manner:

Funkwagen:
- Vampyr upgrade to do the syphon itself as an active ability, maybe stealing a set resource directly instead of on the long run. > removes/replaces syphon beacons BG ability.
- Camo active ability switched to: hide unit icons from minimap/tacmap only, no cloak for surrounding units -- or/and in-cover cloak only, like standard camouflage.

- Firestorm dealing twice damage on explosion impact at least, it feels extremely wrong that it deals basically 0 damage when it bursts flaming liquid directly on top of infantry, complete suspension of disbelief deal breaker right there xD
CoH1 Firestorm absolutely was the gem of all offmaps in spectacle imo, this iteration feels really bad & unimpressive.

- Operation Skorpion hiding vehicle icon from minimap/tacmap. Invisible tanks while hearing them & seeing them destroy assets while moving is goofy as hell, but it's also a fun ability. It just doesn't blend that well in the CoH mechanics and almost feels bugged in how close one has to be to detect one. Kinda breaks immersion.

Very simple changes, only aimed at refining and allowing a slightly more interactive way to use the funkwagen/syphon beacons in combined arms, instead of a plant & forget.
Essentially revolutionizing the gameplay loop in a much more intersting fashion:
- Gear up your army in an Escort Spearhead salvage with your Vampyr Funkwagen, protect it while you salvage or just hope your Vampyr doesn't get spotted, if it gets spotted retreat it back and try again or escort it.
- Higher risk/reward, leadiong to a more satisfying result result, if it works on a set % of resources for a say 15/30 seconds syphon. A reverse Australian Truck convoy essentially.

Panzer Elite in CoH1 really is the pinacle of CoH design, it obviously is nothing to do with balance, but the faction alone is extremely generous and can be played like 2 different factions with very unique gameplay for each units.
CoH3's DaK/espionnage almost manages that, if not for the funkwagen being deceptive, not very fun to use and not providing cool incentive to play around.

Cheers to the team! And can't wait for next month's patch!
