Hello CoH-Community,

a friend of mine asked me if I could try to create some custom skins for him for vehicles. Since I've never played any CoH games, I'm pretty much clueless as of now.

My question is, are there any 3d models of the game (preferably german vehicles) to work with? Since I find it easier to paint straight onto the model and later bake the textures down, it would be nice to have 3d models of the game.

The 3D models are designed to reflect the different factions in the game. For example, Soviet vehicles are typically more rugged and utilitarian, while German vehicles are more technologically advanced and designed for precision.

But are the 3d models useable for creating custom skins and are there models to download?

As I mentioned in my previous post, I'd use them to paint the texture on them, bake them down and the texture would look ok rather than taking the 2d textures only and manually align to look fitting.
