after i made an idea about a soviet faction for CoH 3 there should be another axis faction again them

the Osteer (german forces in the east ) was consisting of many german allies (italians hungarians romanian etc)

many hungarian tanks were build in numbers in the eastern front such as :43M Zrinyi tank destroyer,

40M Turán medium tank ,Toldi light tank , czech panzar 38t etc....

if relic going by international army for the germans and the allied they can combine many of german allies armoured vehicles that fight in the east as a proper faction that will make sense because the balkan nations that fought the soviet union only fought in the east

This seems like a fun idea to mess around with. If we focus on the 3 main Axis forces on that front (Italian, Romanian, Hungarian), would each nation be a different focus for a battlegroup? IE: Hungarian would be an equivalent to an armored battlegroup? I would need to do some additional research, can't remember things off the top of my head for the total list of things they had access to. Romanian Vânători de munte would be a must.

Italy might be hard to do with the DAK and what could likely be a standalone Italian faction at some point. But a focus on Romania, Hungary, and Finland could be really cool to see. Hungary would definitely be the most armor focused one since they had actual self pruduced armor. Finland would probably lean heavily on infantry with some outdated tanks. Romania would probably fall in between the two.

Finland and Romania had tons of captured Soviet armor and in the case of Romania a lot of it was modified in some way to create some amazing things like the Tacam R.2 or Renault tank with a Soviet 45mm gun on it.

Captured stuff is cool and fine for one or two abilities/units/callins but that is difficult for a faction design in terms of visual design and gameplay readability. That is the field where Hungarian forces would dominate because they have their own tanks and their own tank designs and their own tank colors. Ingame it would be hard to misidentify a honved tank with a german or allied or soviet tank. A Turan or Toldi are always looking different from a T-34 or Sherman. But a romanian Pz. IV wont be different from a german Panzer IV beside some roundels or markings. That could case readability issues when u face them.

Furthermore, Romania had a limited tank arsenal. Tanks like the Renault R35 or Panzer 35t are "weak" and fit into the light tank branch - and we have already seen here the problems with the italian arsenal and the resistance against "italian medium armor". So the best "competitive" romanians tanks would be reskinned german vehicles or the Tacam tank destroyers. That is the typical callin material.
On the other side the Honved army can field light and mediums tanks, AA tanks, assault guns and some "experimental" tank designs like the field converted Honved Toldi II rocket armed tank destroyer that was abandon in Bavaria in the last days of the ww2.

But that is a topic for the future.
Lets see how good CoH3 will performe after the release ;) In the weeks after the release there is a lot of time to "discus (dream)" of new future content xD (Italy? xD)

I think its possible, I like the idea of the Fins, Hungarians and Romanians, they had plenty of unique equipment and could add some interesting units, but the main issue is that its going to be another German army and how are you going to make the base army mechanically different enough from the other German ones

1st of all we already did the Eastern Front. And Impressive Game and Story. But The Italian Campaign And North African Campaign is Important In ww2. The Relic Team also said why they Did Italy and North Africa.

Funny joke. No, Soviet story in CoH2 was terrible. The plot was disgusting and the game itself was made very cheaply and simply. And somehow the developers said that CoH2 will be completely focused on the Eastern Front. But instead, the US and Britain appeared in the game.

Its is the old story. People dont want to play as soviet - or italians - or other nations.

Look at the community here. Most of them would refuse to play something else beside the germans and the US forces.

It is difficult to get a sort of "acceptance" for the new stuff. E.g. i think soviets failed because people didnt know a lot about the soviet history. They (players and the former dev team) were playing with some standard sets and some "cliches". It was a cumbersome start with CoH2. And i think for that reason Relic played the save card with the western allies, heavy german tanks and the battle of the bulge - because that is selling games and that is generating income.
