So after this patch we are here again...

Anyone who does anything with multiple variables in any part of life knows trying to mess with loads at once is confusing and complex... why such numerous changes every patch overhauling stuff on every side in multiple ways... why not just do some more regular patches with smaller increments... maybe for the next one slightly augment something in DAK and just leave everything else the same...

The way it's done now is akin to chucking 100 dice up in the air at once and hoping they land all on 6.  Then doing it again and again.  Why not roll one until you get a 6, then move onto the next until you get towards the desired result, then the next...

It's just tiresome the way this works, and the dwindling MP base leading to huge difference ELO games... I only play 1vs1 now and the last games I've had 200+ ELO difference (them above me every game).  Some of the games were found in like 10 seconds of searching... why does automatch think, "yeah only been searching a few seconds and this looks like a messed up and unbalanced 1vs1 I'll chuck the players into that" ??? I'd rather wait longer for a more suitable ELO match.

I will never understand why there are so many things that be changed that increase the player enjoyment simply and gradually wrt multiplayer yet most patches just chuck an immense amount of pasta at the wall and see what sticks.  Plus is also leads to inevitable silly changes that require like 3 hotfixes.  Coming up to 18 years of COH, and it's been the same forever...

It bewilders me, perhaps someone who's spent 18 years+ in the gaming industry can explain to me why this is the best way and not other ways to patch MP experiences in game... cos I must be missing something due to my naivety.

Sometimes this is not possible, e.g. the infantry lethality patch, but overall i agree. However, with the current frequency patches are coming out this would not work.

That is also the bigger issue for me, I really dont get why it takes so long to tweak some numbers/abilities for over/underperforming units.

Why there always needs to be one big patch with changes all over the place. Of course new content or completely new abilities takes longer to develop, but thats developed by another team i would assume (and a dedicated balance team is doing the balance)? The way it is now, we are stuck in a certain and often unfun meta for two or three month. And i also agree, the current elo matchmaking does make this even worse.

Same for example with the skins, why we are getting only parts of a certain skin and have to wait month and month for a complete set? At least I hope the missing skins will come in the future.

Completely agree, MP balance patches changing existing units and abilities (i.e. not new abilities, structures or structure or play mechanics of game overall) should be so much faster, I suppose this is what I meant really in my original point, but you've made it more specifically/clearly.

Also there seems to be assymetry in remediation e.g. when axis get something OP in a patch it gets nerfed within weeks, DAK flame tanks, Palmgrens slightly too accurate... sometimes it takes months or years to sorted out the allied equivalent, rangers, zombie armies etc etc. Everyone cries.. "but x unit is not OP" as they use it in every game ever that I've played against them.  It's just seems bewildering obvious to everyone else which is why I assume I must be missing something, the dev team can't be this naive, I mean they've had 18 years experience of doing this ha
