Allies light off map abilities (availability & spam!)

How is that Allies have so much more off map abilities / utility options?

Talking about "orange"-smoke and not the red smoke final abilities.

 

It feels like they have so much options and-either the cost and cooldowns are to low!

For example, whenever I face an MG as Wher. I have to invest, or become creative to deal with it.

 

Getting a Mortar / Sniper / Stummel. Or work with smoke. Scout & flank it etc.  I have to invest time/work & risk on it.

While whenever in a fight the enemy faces my MG, there is always orange smoke spam...   never ending off map utilities artillery strikes & planes starving runs and bombers!

 

I constantly have to reposition my mg, although it is in a good spot. they always have something to force me to either soft/hard retreat it. Or losing it depending on the situational benefit.

 

As Wehr, besides the coastal officer, or trashy Stuka starving run, which means no serious harm to an enemy MG (also the reconnaissance run has way better value) there is nothing such like spamming orange smoke on the enemy.

 

It feels like, the Allies always have a joker in the backhand. To deal with my MG spontaneously during a battle. While I have to retreat or lose units in similar conditions.

  

All their doctrine options + Unit based artillery (eg: usf Captains forward observer mortar barrage & brit Infantry Sections forward observer artillery barrage), feels overwhelming


I think something has to be adjusted.  Make them cooldowns larger or increse the ammo cost. Delay the spam. Give room to breath.  It can't be that coming back from the base, their solution is always to orange smoke my MG right away again, and then break through coz their infantry is stronger...

Its fun when you play 4V4 and get all your mgs pushed by offmap abilities or planes. Sometimes I feel like I have tons of extra ammo in game just because I dont have any way how to spend it actually.

Also very ture! I experienced the same. Sometimes i have 800+ ammo in stock and nothing to spend it..

 Often I ended up way pointing my engineers to build 20+ Mines in a row. Just to spend it somehow. Or build Bunkers somewhere


But the Allies, always have options to deal spontaneously and ceap with an enemy MG.  It is really annoying and doesn't require much skill at all.

You mean the Tommy's with the arty call in? Or the US mortar call in from the Captain? Both take about 3 working days to land? those ones?

Compared to the Artillery Officers one? the Insta-land one?


As for the muni problem, why dont you just go Skill planes like the rest of them and when you get out played, out micro'd just 1 click saves everything and your guaranteed to kill a tank too! Its all the craze for your fellow Wer-a-boo's!

Compared to the Artillery Officers one? the Insta-land one?

Artillery Officer is doctrine locked, and you need 1exp point to unlock..   meanwhile Tommys can use it everywhere super early. 

The mortar call in from the Captain.. also everyone can go for it.

Not even mentioning all the air-support and offmap capabilities allies have... meanwhile Wher has barely none of that.

Its just.. why they keep Allies so beginners friendly. While Wher is a real cramp to keep up !?

TRUTH LOL The fact that German players don't notice this is WILD. They already have so much stuff that's OP and when they have one thing that isn't.... jesus.

That's a valid point. 

Currently, the Allied machine guns are much more useful than the Axis machine guns. 

In the history of the series, in COH3, the Allies aren't afraid of the Axis MGs at all.

Exactly. Just bc they can brain-afk orange smoke it 24/7.

No need for tactics like working with smoke or flanking it, nor any kind of counterplay... just orange smoke it everytime they see one and either force you to move/retreat or lose it...
