While Tiger tanks did see action in North Africa, none of the tanks in the trailer are Tigers. The Panzer IVs at the end have armour added to their turrets which makes them look more like Tigers. Fun fact: the Allies often made this mistake, leading to exagerated claims about how many Tiger tanks had been encountered/destroyed.

There will be a mod community for that stuff.. It will not be included in the game...Because that mod is not available for theater of war and campaign mode (based on coh2) so this option should be close out the gap.
I love that tanks get abandoned! But perhaps they need to be recrewed by a certain type of unit (Pioneers/Engineers?). I remember winning one of my first 1v1 games of Coh2 when I wiped an American tank crew when the player reversed to a "safe" place and my Jaegers ambushed them while they were repairing. I occupied the tank with my Jaegers. Maybe if you could booby trap the tank with a unit like that rather than always steal it? I am just thinking off the cuff.Abandoned tanks should only really occur if they are open top self propelled artillery type tanks like the Marder 3 or the American and Commonwealth Tank destroyers perhaps? Or at the very least maybe they have higher chances of being de-crewed when attacked from the rear maybe by certain infantry they can also cause de-crewing of these types of vehicles? Or when you have height advantage over the open-turret tank?DECREWING NEEDS to be in this game... What part of the player base was complaining about it from CoH2? I have never heard of any complaint in game about this mechanic unless it related directly to the Sturmtiger which was rebalanced in the end anyway to have lesser chance.
A game like this completely lacking in "random" stuff like this happening can be totally annoying and not very "fair".Hence my previous suggestion of it only happening with certain tanks and vehicles where it makes more sense to the competitive play style.

I would go back to CoH 1 roots and add a (normal) Wehrmacht faction, and then something a bit more specialized like Panzerelite, where your whole army mostly consists of one core unit, which is very versatile and that can be specialized into any role that you need it to be. Plus you have a lot of interesting mechanized options like the Schwimmwagen, munitions halftrack (ability reload buff), vampire halftrack (stole enemy resources with), etc. That seems to be a good difference between factions. With Italy (or even Afrika Korps) I can't see how it differs in its core from the previous two. They're so similiar, jsut with different skins. Italian units or Afrika Korps would be great as exclusive campagin units where you can unlock skins for the multiplayer. But as standalone factions, I don't see them.Maybe Japan might be easier to pull of as a 3rd Axis faction, but one needs to do some research on how to implement it.I disagree, Italy should be added as whole faction, while Africa Korps and Panzer elite could be battlegroups for Germans, this make a lot of sense, since the stock units are bigger this time, and I find it hard to make two different German factions, also a lot of players want new fresh faction for the Axis like Italy, and as the opposite to what you said Japanese is harder to be added than Italians. and I hope they don't back to this design of two German factions.Yeah, I think Italy needs to be included as well. As for Germany, I think there is easily enough to draw from to make two factions.

Wait until we can test out the Multiplayer. Even though the units are similar, the meta will likely be completely different.
Today out of 8 games we got together 3 times in 4v4. All the other matches we played on seperate lanes and could not coordinate at all.Our teammates had the same situation multiple times where each partner was swapped.Pure random distribution is really unacceptable. If you are not going to spawn me next to my partner in team games, you might as well match me into a different game. This needs to be fixed in COH3.Getting 4 games in a row (50:50 chance of course) without playing with your queue partner, only to see the spawn system randomly place 2 soviets together and 2 brits together essentially crippling your team to a 30% winrate from the start - is an extremely bad look for the game, terrible for balance and very frustrating. On secondary priority after partners are matched, the spawn system should distribute the factions out as it is always a big disadvantage to have 2 of the same on one side while the other team has a perfect distribution.
Well it is an alpha and some things are straight up recycled from the last two games so I highly doubt the current icons are final.
Bad mechanic for competetive play, I never liked it. Total roll of the dice wether it happens or not...
